DRUMMER/TEACHER
Steve Rooney is the principal drum teacher at The BeatSchool. Originally from the UK, he has been playing drums for 40 years, 30 of those years gaining professional drumming experience performing, recording and touring throughout the UK, Europe, Scandinavia and the US.
Steve has been a tutor for many years, working in every type of teaching environment, from state schools to 1-1 private lessons to larger masterclasses and public clinics.
Featured in both best-selling UK drum magazines 'Rhythm' and 'Drummer' both as an artist and educator.

Steve has performed across NZ as a member of Auckland bands Recliner Rockers and The Holy Pocket. With a busy gigging schedule Steve is still a performing drummer with many veterans of the NZ music scene.
