BeatSchool's teacher in Studio 2 is Dion Driver, now into his fifth year with us. With a wealth of experience with hundreds of students over the years, many with successful exam passes along the way, The BeatSchool are proud to have Dion. He is a dedicated musician and teacher with a fantastic musical future ahead of him.

Dion completed a Bachelor's Degree in Music at MAINZ, Auckland. He developed his passion for music and drums into a career after receiving his Certificate in Music Performance back in 2017.

Starting out on drums 13 years ago, whilst still in high-school he took part in the support band for several school productions, competed in RockQuest in 2013, and performed in the Intermediate Jazz Band at Strathallan College. Dion has a wide experience across musical genres. He recently recorded and released an album and is working on a second with his pop Band “Three Letter Acronym” whom he met whilst studying at MAINZ. He also gigs frequently around Auckland.  As an avid student himself, Dion understands the importance of providing his students with a supportive and encouraging environment where they feel comfortable in learning new things.
